The partners involved are chosen on the basis of previous project experiences and on their wide expertise on intimate partner violence.
The Department of Psychology of the Second University of Naples and Mykolas Romeris University already have been involved in previous Daphne Project ‘Fear in IPV’, where femicide cases in a 5 years period (2000-2004) where searched and information gathered (Baldry & Ferraro, 2008, Dobash and Dobash, 1996), the Faculty of Law, University of Cyprus which has been proved to be a reliable and active partner (in Daphne project EARN in JVO) has extraordinary competence in the field of action research.
The choice to contact these specific partners is based on the consideration that the comparison between these two different countries with dissimilar legislation and culture (eastern culture vs mediterrean culture) could effectively improve our knowledge base at European level on this phenomenon.
In Italy, DiRe a network which connects almost hundreds of antiviolence centers could guarantee task force interventions and dissemination all over the country.
The partnership even if does not include a large numbers of EU countries could represent an ideal point of view to develop and experiment technique and methodology to disseminate all over Europe, also because violence against women (femicide, effect of trauma).
